Sheridan XTS

Sheridan has reentered the gun race with the introduction of there new semi automatic paintball marker, the XTS. The XTS is a standard blow back semi automatic marker that runs on Co2, and is comparable to the Kingman spyder and other guns in that price category.

Performance
When testing the XTS I equipped it with nothing but the stock barrel a 12 ounce Co2 tank and a vl2000 . After i gassed the gun up the first thing i did was adjust the velocity. The XTS has a simple hex key adjustment right in the back of the bolt. After I got the velocity adjusted to about 290fps I set up a few targets and started to test it out. The first thing i looked at was the trigger pull, I found the trigger to have a pretty good rate of fire with My vl2000 I was shooting of about 6 shots per second, fairly easily. I did notice that the trigger of the gun was very smooth. I started off by trying to hit a target fairly close to me at approximately 20ft away. At this distance I found that the gun was very accurate hitting the target in mostly a small cluster right in the center. As I moved the target farther away to about 50ft i found that the XTS was still fairly accurate I hit the target on all most every shot and had no problem getting the balls there. I tried the gun out on one final target that was approximately 100ft away from me. I found while shooting the XTS that the range and accuracy were still quite good and I had little trouble hitting the target about 7 times out of 10.

Cosmetics
The XTS has an all black body, with a Aircraft grade aluminum anodized finish receiver and a high strength composite frame. I found the 45 style grip frame with removable rubber grip covers to be very comfortable when holding the gun. The gun has a long sleek design that looks compact as well. Another nice feature of the guns body is its quick and easy disassembly. When field stripping the gun you just screw out the back of the gun with your hand (no tools required) and then the receiver flips up giving you easy access to the bolt and hammer. Comparisons         I found that the stock XTS is was just as good if not better than most of the other markers in its price range and category. I think once a few more upgrades come out for this gun and if you put some after market parts on it i think it will be able to keep with most tricked spyders or another guns out on the field.         After a day of testing out the new XTS I was quite impressed with the results. I found the gun to have great performance with good looks and many nice features. I would suggest this gun to any one interested in finding a that is not to expensive but with a few upgrades will enable you to keep up at your local field. I think Sheridan has found a quality marker that will last with the new XTS. I would be willing to go play with the XTS on the field any day.
