Stingray 2 Gun

The stingray II paintball marker is made by Brass Eagle.

This was my first of many paintball guns.  This gun is great for a beginner player or someone that just wants to go out and have fun without shooting 2000 balls on a single outing.

I only owned my stingray for a couple of months, but this was long enough to know the gun down pat.  I only owned it for a few months because my addiction soon grew beyond the capabilities of my stingray.  The people I was playing with were upgrading their stingrays, pumps, and spyders for new markers like automags, autocockers, and shockers.  I found that the ROF (rate of fire) was the biggest problem with the stingray.  Brass Eagle claims that the stingrays ROF is about 5 to 6 balls a second.  This statement is totally false.  I have a pretty fast trigger finder and the stingray would only put out about 3 to 4 balls a second tops.
My only problem I ever had with the stingray was my fault.  I underestimated the power of paintball oil at the time.  After a few weeks and many outings, my gun started to leak out the barrel and it would not re-cock.  This problem is easily corrected with a few drops of paintball gun oil down the constant air adapter.  This is also known as the CA adapter.  This is found right where your co2 tank is screwed into the gun.  While your oiling everything up, make sure to oil the bolt pretty heavily.  Make sure you oil your gun every week or every two weeks for peak performance.
As far as field stripping goes, this gun is a piece of cake.  All you have to do is pop out a few pins and the gun is in pieces.  Clean all the excess paint out of it and add a little oil and your all set.
Overall, this gun is a great gun for the first time players and it is great for introducing new players into the great game of paintball.

Remember, always read your owners manual for safe operation and costly errors down the road.
