Banana Bombs: Paintball's Newest Grenade

The Banana Bomb is the newest paintball grenade to hit the market.  It is made 

by NZ Paintball Supply.  They are available in Yellow and Green Fill.  I have 

seen two paint grenades to date.  Tippmann's squad buster grenade and now the 

banana bomb.  Overall these grenades are very similar in that they both use a 

pressurized balloon to project the paint onto the target.  

To use the banana bomb you pull the cap off and throw.  It's that simple.  One 

the grenade hits the ground it whips to project the paint.  I was surprised at the 

stream of paint it put on my friend.  It was about 1/4 inch in thickness and across 

both of his legs.  Once it is done the grenade is just a tube like this:

 

The grenades now have a new fill mixture so the paint doesn't settle anymore.  

Overall, I think this product is great for recreation games and big games/scenario 

games where there are big groups of people playing.  The ideal situation would 

be in a castle conquest where you are defending the castle looking down at your 

opponents.
